On Saturday, April 6th, we will have live music brought to you by RGQ.
RGQ—The Ron Greenwood Quintet plays a swinging mix of blues, jazz, and fun. Its five experienced band members are all musicians who simply love to play their particular mix of styles with a Blues root.
Ron Greenwood (drums) has played for many years in Blues and Swing bands at gigs throughout Kent and recently in Hythe at the Undercroft, Bandstand and Battle of Britain memorial.
Dave Wall (bass) is a music producer who runs a record label for unsigned songwriters and local talent. He is a multi-instrumentalist and an expert in modern music production technology.
Evan Stirzaker (guitar) has been involved with live music, including Blues, Jazz and Funk. He is the regular house musician at the Market Inn Faversham.
Pete Spalding (Tenor Sax) has played for many years in Blues, Jazz, and Swing Bands for weddings and events in London and the South East.
Mike Middlebrook (keyboards) is an architect who has played for several bands in Kent and London since the early 80s. Unable to read music, he plays by ear, mixing Blues, Jazz, and Funk with original material of his own. A club member for nearly 40 years, he still cannot read music or play impressive racketball!
RGQs last gig was recently supporting the opening of the new Music Workshop in Folkestone.
The band starts at 7 pm and is not to be missed, bring your family and friends.
