It's been a rather brilliant weekend, so I hope you'll take a moment with me to celebrate some magic created by people across our Club.
FRIDAY
120 children from local primary schools wandered, ran, skipped and cartwheeled across our rather damp pitch for a fabulous day of kwik cricket. Young people from Brockhill learnt the rules in 20 minutes to manage all the games. Kids had a fabulous day. AND we do it all again next week.

SATURDAY
Hythe Petanque Club hosted The Petanque Club of Sandgatte - in a day that involved fish and chips and mushy peas, celebratory singing, superb planning and organisation, and an absolutely brilliant spirit of fun, friendship and friendly competition.

Men's First XI* won a really big game in the closing overs, with everyone on site cheering them on (including Hythe Town junior footballers and Hythe & French petanque players). #RespectToCaptainFordi&HytheTeamSpirit
SUNDAY
Women's Softball Team* played a game with brilliant team spirt, huge personal achievement, and a great sense of enjoyment (and beat Folkestone to sit top of the league, just sayin...)

Two of our volunteer cricket coaches stepped up two weeks in a row to manage the whole of junior cricket between them. Our women's coach stepped in to run the U9s at short notice. Young players loved it. #GoMattCol&Stacey

Our Club Bar staff worked their socks off, and genuinely smiled through it all. #AmberTiaTobieMagic
Community sport, pitching in, helping out, supporting each other, enjoyment and achievement... This is who we are, this is what we do, let's take a moment to celebrate.
