Morning all
As most of you are aware the roof covering the squash/racquetball courts is on its last legs and needs replacing .
A repair was carried out recently but this is only temporary, the roof will need to be changed in the spring of next year at a cost of around £13,000
With this in mind I would like to start the process of raising some funds by holding a sponsored walk which will start and finish at the cub on Sunday 30th december ( 1:30 start)
We hope to raise at least £1000 , a drop in the ocean I know but a great start nevertheless.
It would be great if all the members could be involved in one way or another ,so ,the concept of one member to do the walk and another member to sponsor them allows for this to happen.
Personally. I’ll be completing the walk and tobie will sponsor me £££”s to complete it. This gives you an idea of what we can achieve if we all get involved . If you don’t know who to sponsor , no problem , just email me your details and sponsorship fee you’ve allocated and I’ll link you with one of the walkers, it’s as simple as that .
You can complete the 3k course anyway you wish , ie walk run cycle , walking the dog , there’s no time limit just a couple of hours in the fresh air and a chance to help your club and loose some of those Xmas calories at the same time. They’ll be some homemade soup and crusty bread waiting for you all on your return.
