Coronavirus - What we are doing

Good morning
I trust you and your families are all keeping fit and well.

Our priority is to manage our finances very carefully in the weeks and months ahead. We have put together a detailed Cash Flow projection and with a wish and prayer plus a Small Business Grant we can keep it positive for a few months.

We have put on hold all expenditure, apart from some vital building repairs and tidying up the hedges and bushes along our side and front boundary.

You are aware that our primary income comes Events, Room bookings and Boot Fairs, which will be difficult to replace, so it will mean a concerted effort by us all when we OPEN again to raise FUNDS. So any suggestions?

To help Cash Flow we ask if members would agree to 'roll-over' their membership into 2021 rather than a refund, but if any member requires a refund for any reason please let me know.

Sadly in the short term, we had to ask the bar staff to stop working, but we are investigating ways to ensure they are not seriously affected financially.

With members possibly having some free time in the weeks ahead we will put together a list of maintenance/gardening tasks which can be done safely alone and at the same time provide much-needed exercise!

If any members have any suggestions, comments, ideas, please contact either Tobie, Martin Cobb, Chris Slee, Steve Davies or myself.

Keep safe
Philip Carter
