Dear Members
We have received reports of certain members that are playing on squash courts without having pre-booked and are therefore avoiding payment for that court.
The club does operate an honesty system where the lights automatically come on when you walk on the court. However, it is only fair that all members do abide by the rules of the booking system and pay for their courts before playing. This is very simple to do and takes just a few seconds on mycourts, paid for by credit they have previously bought.
Abuse of this system generally seems to occur at off peak times when the club is quiet.
Could we therefore please ask members to follow the rules and book their courts before playing. Also, if you are going to play with a non-member more than an occasional one off, could you please ask them to consider joining the squash/racketball section of the club.
If it is felt that any members are continuing to abuse the system we are able to monitor club and court usage via our CCTV.
On a related issue, could we please ask anyone playing early morning to make sure the door to the club is properly closed on departure.
