Just a follow up from the communication on Monday. I can now announce that the Club’s Charity Event in memory of Pam on Saturday 2nd raised beyond our target of £6000 for Cancer Research UK. The giving page is currently indicating £2678 with gift aid so this will increase as the funding is transferred.
This is an amazing achievement for the Club and again thanks goes to all that participated. Members, members families, guests, other sports clubs,local businesses,entertainment teams and bar staff. This truly indicates what a community that we have here in Hythe. Raffel prizes have now been collected by winners and the raffel alone raised in excess of £1800.
We continue to collect from sponsors and donor’s further monies, and once finalised we will announce the total figure. When speaking to Cancer Research UK earlier they were truly amazed and thank all for their time, dedication and generosity.
Can I please ask any areas that have not yet submitted their sponsorship monies to return them to the Club Bar via Toby by Saturday 9th July to enable us to have a close. The Club will continue raising funds for Cancer Research UK for the remainder of this year with a planned celebration in December.The QR code is attached for anyone that still wishes to donate.
