Plus Steve Davies, Darrel Moyle, Rhys Taylor - Ryall, Mel Booth and Tobie, the FOOD & DRINK monitors who 'sweated blood' behind the Barbecue and Drinks counter.
We collected just over £1200 in entry fees and £800 in Food and Drink Sales, just managing to clear £2000, a fantastic effort.
We are clashing with the Hythe Green Boot Fairs, which occur every Sunday until mid-September. In the past, we have cleared over £3000 plus food and drink income without a clash.
We are considering running one on Bank Holiday Monday, which will work nicely alongside the Food Festival (not clashing with another Boot Fair) and providing live music in the afternoon, encouraging families to picnic on our ground and spending money on food and drink.
But, But, But, we need your HELP to manage the event during the day, even for just a few hours. We need at least 15-20 people to HELP across the day.
We need to get your response NOW to start planning the event. (If we have a warm, dry day, we could raise well over £3000 to support the club in its re-development and the ongoing upkeep of our ground).
Please respond to this email or text me if you can help on Bank Holiday Monday. If we can't get your support to help, we cannot run the Boot Fair and lose the opportunity of bringing in much-needed funds.
