Cricket for Everyone in 2025

Dear Members

With cricket season fast approaching, preparations are underway and (say it quietly..) the sun is shining! There are opportunities for everyone age 8 to 80+ to take part in cricket at Hythe this year.

Men's Cricket

Indoor nets sessions are in progress at the Three Hills Sports Park in Folkestone, starting at 8.00pm every Thursday until 3rd April. Cost is £5 / session payable on the night. It's not too late to dust off your kit, find your bat and get that bowling arm moving!

With Saturday, Sunday and midweek teams running this season, outdoor nets training at the club will start again shortly too. Whether you are a current player, played in the past, or have never played, you are very welcome to join in. Those interested in scoring or umpiring very welcome too, and there are some great training courses available at the moment if you would like to have a go. Contact cricket@hythecsc.com for more info.

Junior Cricket

Sunday Morning Training will be on from 10am - 12noon every week from 27th April onwards. Young players in School Years 3 and upwards are all very welcome, and we have teams entered in the Saxon Shore League for those wanting to play competitively.

Contact juniorcricket@hythecsc.com for a warm welcome for all young players!

Women's Softball Cricket

Our women's team continues to go from strength to strength with tournaments and friendly games booked across the summer season. There are regular training sessions too, with no obligation to play in games for those who just want to join in for fun and fitness. No experience or cricket knowledge is required - all you need is a pair of trainers and a sense of humour! Contact cricket@hythecsc.com to find out more.

Indoor Training for Girls and Women

Hythe and Kent Cricket Coach Chris Green will be running two indoor sessions, to give players a chance to meet up ahead of the season, welcome new players and brush up on their cricket skills.

Sessions are on Sunday 6th April and Sunday 13th April at Three Hills Sports Park:

11am-12noon for Girls in School Years 4-8 (Softball Cricket)

12noon - 1pm for Women and Girls in School Year 9 and above (Hardball Cricket)

To book a place, either confirm your availability on Pitchero, or email juniorcricket@hythecsc.com

We would appreciate you spreading the word and inviting anyone you think might be interested in taking part in cricket at Hythe this year - all welcome!

We hope you will come and enjoy a drink and watch a game or two, and support our Hythe Teams through the season. You can find news of all fixtures on our website: https://www.hythecsc.com/

Thank you to everyone across the Club for your support.

Roll on summer!
