Partner Organisations at The Club - Activities Update

Dear Members

We're delighted to have a growing number of sport, exercise and wellbeing activities provided by partner organisations at the Club. Here's an update on some current activities:

Beginners2Runners

We think everyone should be able to run.

Our clubs are safe, fun, and friendly places to get fit, meet new people, and stay healthy. Each club has a dedicated Club Manager and Volunteer Team Leaders who plan and lead a variety of training and fun sessions. It doesn't matter how fit you are or how fast you can run. Beginners2Runners is for everyone, from total beginners to experienced runners. We're all here to help each other reach our goals. We don't compete against each other; we're teammates, not competitors. Running with Beginners2Runners is like going out with friends, not exercising.

For more information, head to our website or get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Hythe Petanque Club

You'll have seen the newly refurbished petanque/boules court at the Club, and hopefully met some of the friendly people regularly playing. At their recent AGM the local group adoped a new name 'Hythe Petanque Club' and we are delighted that the group also voted to formally partner with HCSC.

They welcome anyone who would like to try their hand at a game to say hello and join in! If you'd like more information, drop a line to info@hythecsc.com and we'll put you in touch.

Salsa, Pilates and Yoga classes continue and are increasingly popular!

School Partnerships

Junior coaches right across the club value the support and partnership of local schools, who encourage children and young people to engage in our sports, advertise our sessions, and support families to enjoy sport and exercise. Schools (like sports clubs!) rely on volunteers to play vital roles, and one of our partner schools has asked for some help in recruiting new governors:

Governors wanted!

Are you passionate about education and making a difference in your community? Lympne CofE Primary School is seeking committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our governing board as Governors. You will play a vital role in supporting the school, ensuring it provides the best possible education for all pupils. As a governor, you will bring your skills and experience to help shape strategic decisions, oversee financial performance, and support school leadership.

We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and skills. You don't need to have experience in education—just a willingness to learn and contribute. Skills in areas such as finance, HR, law, or community engagement would be particularly beneficial.

What's in it for you?

• The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people's lives.

• Develop new skills in leadership, strategic planning, and governance.

• Work with a team of dedicated and supportive governors.

If you're interested please contact Melanie Nash on headteacher@lympne.kent.sch.uk

And finally...

Do you know anyone who organises sport/exercise/wellbeing sessions, workshops or classes and might be looking for a venue in Hythe? We'd love to discuss hosting their activity at the Club. Contact admin@hythecsc.com for more info and a chat.
