Thank you and update

Good morning

Thank you for all those who took part in our Virtual Quiz on Monday, we had over 60 people participating, it was an entertaining hour for all. We will repeat on Monday 18th May, so put it in your diary now.

Just a brief UPDATE on our current situation:
Now in our 8th week of closure, it suggests we could have a few more weeks to go before we can start to consider getting back to some form of activity at the club.

Your committee is having regular ZOOM meetings to ensure that our financial situation remains positive, and ensuring that the club remains in good order. We were able to get a £10,000 grant from the Council, so we can 'hang in there' for at least another month before we start to consider the options on how we fund our ongoing costs.

We have used the furlough scheme for our staff, so hopefully, they will be able to return once we are back open.

If anyone has been down to the club during the lockdown, you will have noticed that we have had our boundary hedges cut and cleared at the front of the club, it looks impressive. The next step is to update the front of the club when funds allow.

We have also submitted a bid to the Football Association to upgrade our changing rooms and football pitches, so 'fingers crossed' we are successful.

These are just the highlights of what is happening, but if anyone requires more information, has any ideas, comments, thoughts, please call or email me.

Keep safe and well.

Kind regards
Philip
